Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married

I bought a wedding dress! Ian got an officiate! We’re getting married!

Well, we’ve been planning on the marriage thing– but this weekend has certainly been a whirlwind.

Friday was the last day of regular homecoming. On Friday I bought a wedding dress with Scout, hit up Oktoberfest and ate a lot of boiled peanuts. I guess the real story here is the wedding dress. I found my dress at Salvation Army. On Thursday, I was frantically searching for overalls for a costume competition (Ellie from Up!) when I saw this beautiful dress that is an eclectic mix of the 1980s and the Victorian era. It has sleeves that aren’t working for me, so I’m going to remove those, but otherwise it’s perfect.

Saturday was the homecoming game. We lost. I’m not too terribly surprised, but it was disappointing none-the-less. But, Ian secured our officiant! Coach Brown has been a big part of both of our lives and is currently the FCA director at Mercer. I’m really excited ton be able to include him in our wedding.

It just all feels like it’s coming so fast. Details are falling into place and I am just so excited to get married.
